Best file explorer for ATV?

by chowder007

Hey guys. It's time to give up ES. What's the best for explorer for ATV? I'm willing to buy the app. I just want to be able to move stuff from phone to TV as easily as it is with ES. Thanks in advance for the info.

Ever since ridding myself of ES I moved on to Total Commander it's free, there are no ads, and no BS. You'll have to sideload it using the Google Play Store on your phone to install it on your ATV but it's android TV compatible :) if you want more features there are first and third party plug ins you could use. I've been using this file manager for awhile and haven't looked back :)

You may get a more agreeable experience by sideloading an earlier version from apkpure.com. There are several prior versions to be had there.

I've been using file commander. It has a similar layout to ES File Explorer, but without the BS. The free version does pester you a little about the premium version. It's totally worth a purchase in my eyes.

X-Plore I think it's called. It's good.

I'd rather just replace it with something better. It's causing battery drain on my phone now. Looking at solid buy want to make sure it plays nicely with file offering.

FX File Explorer.

AnExplorer Pro works really well for my needs. The material design looks great on a large screen. The only complaint that I've really seen is the (current) lack of cloud storage functionality, but it's not something that I really care about for my Shield TV.
