Everything with this app seems to be pretty great. One major issue. When something is playing the guide and menus are extremely laggy. I know this is a grand new app so I'm sure it will improve but it's pretty laggy and really frustrating. Anyone else experiencing this?
The PS Vue app itself is very buggy and inefficient. It pegs the CPU more than any other video-only app on Android that I've seen (that wasn't using software video decoding).
The Vue app is known to eat up a lot of RAM. This is the same reason the old Fire Stick had so many problems with it. The MiBox or the Shield would likely do better.
I'm kind of curious what people consider lagginess. I'm finding Vue on both the Nexus Player and the Mi Box to be very good. I don't have a Shield to or PS4 to compare it too. I find both Nexus and Mi Box equal to Fire TV 2 with Vue.
Sounds like the experience I used to have with Sling on the NP.
I think that 1GB of RAM just hurts it when it comes to live tv + overlay. Shield handles it just fine.
