I've had my Mi Box for about a week now and so far it has been an overall pretty good experience. I'm having a weird issue with the Netflix app though, where the remote won't control the volume. I hit the volume up or down button and get the normal volume pop up, but the volume doesn't actually change. ie. it will be "muted" but still playing at full volume...anyone else run into this and have a fix?
Yeah the volume controls don't work on netflix at all. It must block it somehow. I just use my receiver volume and ignore the Mi boxes volume altogether.
It also does the same for me on live channels and hdhomerun view... I hope they fix it
I think its more related to the type of audio format. I have the same issues with anything using Ac3 audio format. In HD homerun I cant control volume and in Plex anything with AC3 i cannot control volume. but anything in AAC format volume control works fine. I have tried all sorts of settings with audio pass through but nothing impacts it. Hopefully it gets fixed because it is annoying to have two separate volume controllers.
You can control stereo. You just can't control anything else. In Netflix switch to stereo and you can control it with the remote. I use the remote for everything so it's super handy to just have one, the issue being you have to switch every time you watch something as Netflix in its infinite wisdom is to stupid to save the fact that I tell it to play stereo.
