Shield TV 3.3 Update Release Notes Are Officially Live

Just turned on my TV after seeing this post and the update pop-up is already showing on screen.

913.45MB

Edit: one thing I was hoping they would have fixed but apparently not.

The "Access SHIELD folders on PC" option under Storage & reset always turns itself off when you restart the device.
This was brought up to Nvidia right away and I even remember one of the Nvidia guys replying to a thread on the GeForce forums about it that it would be fixed in a future update.
Still broke.

Not a huge deal, but it would be nice to have it fixed since they acknowledged it was a bug.

Been running the beta of this for about a week now (under NDA). Super happy its live, TrueHD is working in Plex and I have uninstalled SPMC finally.

FandangoNOW is constantly crashing and displaying the wonderful foreground error messages while doing so. Guess I have to get rid of it after I watch my one free rental

It seems to have fixed my emby refresh rate issues

I'm installing it right now, but I'm wondering how late is the Plex client/server usually on Shield compared to the ones that ship directly from Plex?

Is this the Nougat upgrade?

I don't think anyone else has mentioned this, but the new vulkan api plus the nightly of retroarch (when set to use the vulkan api drivers and not the generic Android driver) has pretty much fixed all emulator lag that I was having in the past.

I'm using the normal shield controller, and for snes the bsnes-performance core has made super Mario world game lag completely go away. I'm really happy to FINALLY be able to use my shield TV as an emulator box in the way I wanted it to be when I first bought it. Thanks Nvidia and retroarch devs for this.
