NFL with Cable Login on AndroidTV?

by NerdyFergy

I have nflnetwork through Charter. I can log into the nflnonline.NFL.com page and authentic and watch redzone on Sundays through my PC.

I have a firetv box, but there is no way to watch through firetv with cable logins. I've tried sideloading a web browser (thinks it's mobile even with user agent changes) and trying to sideload the NFL app (requires Google apps, which fire doesn't have). So I'm looking for a new box.

If I get an Android TV box (mibox or shield), Is there a streaming app to allow me to use my cable account and watch the official redzone stream?

Thanks

Just use the apk here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/56tztu/latest_nfl_mobile_app_with_full_leanback_support/

It has full leanback support for Android TV and you can log into NFL Network & Red Zone. Charter is available.

You should be able to use the cast feature to mirror the web browser to the TV. It's not as convenient having a dedicated app. But it's not horrible. Even playing the video on full screen won't actually take over the computer when casting. So you can minimize the tab to keep watching if you or someone else needed to use the computer for something else.

You might wind up needing a wireless remote keyboard/mouse, like one of these on Amazon and on ebay .
