Looking for some Android TV users interested in beta testing my stock market app - MarketCast

by osiris355

I am the developer of MarketCast for Android TV and Fire TV. The current app is very early but I am on the verge of finally bringing some new features. Before I launch these updates it would be great if any of you would like to beta test and possibly provide feedback. Here is the link to opt-in if you are interested.

Feedback can be sent to contactmarketcast@gmail.com or you can use the playstore listing feedback channel once you opt-in.

If you have not heard of MarketCast it is just a way to see your stock portfolio on your TV with live updates. Also, just to note there is a mobile version with cast support but this beta is focusing on the Android TV version. Thanks!

Update: Released new beta version 2.0.2 with many bugs fixed.

Does it have mutual funds? I'm using the Win 10 "money" app now to keep track of my retirement funds but I can't seem to find my 529 plan fund to easily keep track of that. I could go to collegeadvantage.com website and do it that way but I need something easier.

Can we get a breakdown of what permissions the app needs and why?

Thanks.

I personally don't use stock market, but I know someone who might want to try it out. I'll ask them, they just got a Sony Android TV.

I received some feedback that helped me find some nasty bugs with background processes colliding with UI tasks. I will get a new beta up within the next few days. Thanks for all the help so far!
