Has anyone encountered this?
I have 2.4 and 5 ghz. It'd connect to 5 ghz but data doesn't appear to transfer. Online services like Netflix, Hulu, Play Store don't work.
Everything's fine on 2.4ghz.
I have other devices on 5ghz so no problem there.

Mine connects and works on 5ghz.
I've had a very similar problem but don't know what the root cause is yet. Not a huge deal because my 2 GHz wifi works just fine, but it is kind of annoying. Do you happen to know the manufacturer of your 5 GHz AP?
Not exactly the same issue, but I initially had trouble connecting to 5Ghz of my Asus router.
After fiddling a while, I disabled Protected Management Frames for 5GHz and everything worked fine. I believe it is a firmware issue of Mi Box given my other Android boxes had no problem even before I disabled the option.
