MiBox - learn from my pain.

If you're considering buying a Mi Box, buy it from Walmart - not from mi.com. That way, if it doesn't operate correctly, you can swap it out easily.

Xiaomi's service/support is horrendous. I've spent four days trying to get an authorisation to return the device. Their support chat doesn't know how to do it and refered me to their support email, who after nearly three days finally told me to make a claim on their website - except that their website doesn't actually allow you to create a request. For the past 24 hours I've been trying to get them to understand that there is a server error on the website, only having them tell me to try different browsers. I've tried four different browsers, and funnily enough, the server error is still there.

I still haven't got authorisation.

So, just for your own sanity, buy it from Walmart.

This is why Google needs to create the Pixel Player.

OEMs just can't get their shit together.

Hopefully we see a Google streaming box next year.

Buy one from Walmart then return the one you bought from mi.com to Walmart for a refund.

Glad to have a Nexus.

Love the Mi Box, but video stutters in Playstation Vue. Thinking it was a wireless internet speed issue I attached a usb ethernet hub with 50 Mbps. Unfortunately it did not make any difference. Using same ethernet cable, hdmi, the Fire TV Box is smooth. Tried factory reset with no success.
