Access to personal data on Android TV

by Tillsats

So, I am looking into buying a Mi Box 4K or possibly a Sony tv with Android TV. So, either way it will be used by several people. I will log on using my Google account. What I am considering is if one through Android TV will have access to my gmail, calender, hangouts etc? Or are all these aspects of my google account "safe" ie not possible to access via Android TV.

Thanks

None of those apps come stock for exactly this reason. In theory they could be sideloaded but that sounds like more effort than your average user is going to put forward.

I created a "family" account which we all share on our phones, and now on out Mi boxes. This way my "family" can share everything while keeping private data private.

We share the calendar so we are able to see important family events. the google voice number is set up for me and the wife to answer (we use this as our "home" phone) We buy all of our android apps and content using the family account.

On our phones this account is the second account configured. On the Android TV it is the only one configured.

Thank you very much for your replies. So one could in one way or another lock settings and Google play and not worry about sideloading or getting any strange app from play?
