Anyone else having issues with the factory remote? I tried changing batteries and the remote still does not control the box. When I first setup the box I had to press the center button and noticed a slight delay then it partially worked then stopped. Also how do you factory reset without remote? I have 2 boxes and its only this one box giving me issues...,thanks reddit
Use the Android remote from the play Store on your phone to control the box. Go to settings then go in to remote settings and unpair your remote. It will then as to pair remote. Pair remote and all done.
Exact same problem here. USB keyboard and mouse don't work, either. Mine's going back to the store.
Ok guys...here's what I did. I connected a USB keyboard and choosed factory reset. The box then restarted and showed remote screen.DO NOT CLICK CENTER BUTTON...... I waited for about 30 secs and this time the screen showed me to press the left arrow and circle (next to mic) the box made a beep noise and viola the remote now works. So far so good thanks for the USB keyboard tip
I have had a few bluetooth devices and my mi box remote be removed from controlling the mi box at different times. It is frustrating, I don't have any correction but you can use the android tv app to get it reconnected. Although I also have issues connecting that as well at times.
Mine had the same issue. I just installed the the MI remote app on my phone and it works great. you can reset and pair and do what you need to
