Hi, I'm trying to turn off my device, but I can only reboot it (with the power button). The only setting possible is to switch the power button to "resume and pause".
I don't want to let a chinese device 24x7 on, accessing to my LAN, but I don't want to corrupt the Android just plugging it off neither.

Agree with you all; my first post was derogatory. Errata: should be read "I don't want a device 24x7 accessing to my LAN".
I'm not worried about sniffing my LAN; I just don't want to be an exit node for a nasty action.
It's a device made for the living room. They wouldn't make it bork itself cuz it loses power or doesn't shut down properly. Heck, Android was designed to gracefully recover since it was made for devices that run on batteries.
And if you're worried about China, why are you buying gadgets? And where are you buying electronics that don't have components from China? That sounds impossible.
