After an incredibly frustrating experience trying to use a knock-off IR USB adapter on my Forge w/ a Harmony Remote, I recently bought a Flirc USB adapter and extension cable. The Flirc was fairly easy to setup and is working perfectly with Kodi, though I will have to reprogram a key in the O/S as it doesn't seem to have a "back" or "exit" function.
Why would I? Got a great deal on it and aside from not having Netflix, it works just fine. The scarcity of Android TV devices in Canada and my budget made the Forge the only game in town when I bought it.
Forge owner here. I also own a Nexus Player and a ShieldTV (which should have been the standard for android tv).
I won't get rid of my Forge though. It's my reminder to myself that I fucked up by being an early adopter and to never buy another Razer product of any type ever again.
I'm surprised you're still using a Forge and didn't return it.
