What's the best TV for my shield?

Question

I currently own a shield TV and I love being able to run a Plex server from it. I want to buy a new 4k screen to accompany but I don't know which one to get considering I want one with minimal input lag for gaming as well. The best screen I see are Sony but are also running android TV. I feel like it would be redundant to connect an android tv to an android tv. Anyone have any good screens they recommend? I'm looking for something around the 40-45" range. Thanks and I hope this isn't against the rules.

Edit: Less than a $1000 would be preferred.

I don't think you can buy a higher end TV these days that doesn't come with SmartTV features. It's the new new 3D. Maybe look for something without AndroidTV in case google decides to drop support and move onto PixelTV™!

If you also don't need a TV tuner, you might want to think about one of Vizio's SmartCast displays.  The smart features on those are very minimal (basically, they have a built-in ChromeCast), so they won't get in the way of using your Shield.
