Holy hell it runs android 2.1.0?
Had to google it, was codenamed Android Eclair and is from late 2009.
Most companies that impliment android use version 4.4 (kit-kat) or greater
Makes me question the age of the tv
Did some Googling. The T55U seems to be this year's new model and uses YIUI 5? (not 100% sure about the chinese). There are web articles boasting 64-bit processing, which Android did not support until very recent versions (5.0), so the actual Android base must be very recent. You can probably find out by installing/side-loading some benchmarking software like AnTutu.
That being said, it's very unlikely that you'll be able to install another Android build on it. The manufacturer will have to release the drivers and config and somebody will have to build the distro. You may have to hang around Chinese android forums to find out if anyone is interesting in modding these.
Android TV is not the same thing as a TV that just happens to have Android. Check this sub's stickied posts if you need more clarification on this. Sorry you bought something you can't use but this is why research is important before you buy electronics, especially if you're nut familiar with them. Here are devices with Android TV https://www.android.com/tv/
