I just ran into the problem too. Download the Android TV app on your Android phone first... this will let you control the MiBox remotely and get into Settings. You'll need to do that to unpair the remote and re-pair it. The on-screen message will tell you on your TV what buttons to press to re-pair the remote. I believe it's Home (O) and Back (<-) simultaneously until the remote lets out a louder-than-it-should-be beep.
You'll have Bluetooth issues if there's 2.4ghz congestion around your house. I had same issues with my Nexus player. I disabled 2.4ghz on my wifi router and now it's all good.
Unplug it the box for 10-15 minutes. Fire it up again. This happened to me three days ago.
This appears to happen to me whenever I leave the room with the remote in my pocket. Like if they get too far apart they can't reconnect. I installed the Android TV remote on my phone, removed the remote from the Mi Box and paired it again.
you just have to force re-pair it. its a key combo on the remote itself that you hold down. its in the instructions that came with it.
Verified just now, back and home button, hold down until box beeps as an animated graphic appears on screen.
Release buttons after beep, paired success message should appear on screen.
Try a few time before moving on to the software solutions. It can be finicky.
Mine just stopped working all of the sudden , anyone knows if theres a working replacement to buy anywhere? I been checking online but I can only find the older models of the remote
you have to repair it.
