None are as good as harmony smart remote, that thing is amazing.
If you're a techie, there's a hacking community that reprograms One For All remotes. It's called JP1. Take a nice cheap remote and make it dance with all sorts of macros and things.
If you don't by a learning remote, people often post the protocols for obscure devices you might need.
The 'one remote' that comes with most 2016 Samsung TVs works fine.
I have a Harmony Hub based remote at every TV in my house. I tried the JP1 route, some random learning remote from Amazon, a couple of different URC models and an Xsight.
Nothing comes close for me in terms of ease of use and features. Setup is simple and the remotes function every single time.
I really like the app that works with the Hub remotes, but the best Hub feature is not having to hold the remote in the air while it sends all of it's IR commands.
They aren't right for everyone, but I have 5 devices or more at every TV and these remotes are a must-have item for me.
any cheap ir universal remote (or your tv's remote) and a flirc usb
shield has ir in (if that's what you have), but i don't have experience with it
Are there any remotes with 3.5mm jacks built in?
I wish the harmony remotes could use Android TV's voice search. Thats the one thing holding me back.
