At one point at the DirecTV Now event they said 'They have more than 120 different Android device ranging from mobile , tablet and TVs to demo in their event'. So maybe AT&T putting Android TV in the larger Android family and there will be a actual ATV app. Also, buyers of the new LeEco Android TV's will get 6 to 12 months of DirecTV Now for free. So, I think they actually need an ATV app for this offer.

I've been eyeing this deal since announcement, and I'll probably give it shot, but you can't even pause and there's no type of DVR system. Great price but needs more features.

What sucks is that in order you get the $35 deal for life, you gotta subscribe now when there isn't an android TV app out there yet.
