Does the Nvidia Shield make for a good Plex Server? Will it have issues transcoding 1080p video with soft subtitles?

I currently have a 16gb Shield that is rooted. I plan on adding an external 4tb HD as adopted storage to store additional video files (I know that the 16g will be used solely for metadata, since I read that metadata won't store on adopted storage). Only one person will ever be streaming at a time (me) and it's very important to me that it can play high quality video files with zero issues.

Would love input from anyone that has an Nvidia Shield as their Plex Media Server.
