im struggling to find a way to get Amazon Prime Vid (in Germany) to work with my MiBox ive imported from the US of A. the amazon prime launcher app doesnt seem to work for me, it just displays the same shows over and over again. And the "leaqed" apks for Sony TVs install just fine but dont play any media.
Yes, I don't think anyone has gotten the official Android TV app for Sony TVs to actually play any media when sideloaded on the Mi Box. I think some folks have sideloaded Amazon's app for Android mobile devices on their Mi Box and that works, although I believe resolution is limited to standard definition.
Don't use the prime video launcher. That's the mistake most people make. Install the launcher and it will install the correct version of Amazon Prime Instant Video, then use the Amazon Prime Instant Video app it installs.
Try using #sideloadtag PRMVIDLNCH, which installs the XDA Amazon Prime Video Launcher.
For me, on a Philips android tv, the one that works is "Amazon Video EU" on apkmirror.
Except Grand Tour, that has an error, I'm guessing it has something to do with being the only one in HDR. The rest of the content plays correctly.
Use a chrome browser pushed to the box from the play store from a PC or phone then sign into Prime make sure the browser is in desktop mode and you can watch in 1080p a touchpad keyboard will be required
