my non-androidTV, android box reboots frequently when it "feels like it". Seems to not matter what app I'm using .
Is miBox stable enough to not reboot once a day or once a week even?

I have had no issues with mine, but only using 1080p. My main apps for it are youtube, netflix, kodi, and redbull tv.
The MI box is fairly close to my wifi access point so I get a stable connection speed at 433 Mbps, so I didn't have a reason to use a dongle on the USB 2.0 port.
Can the Mi Box output a correct signal of 23.976hz instead of 24hz for 24p material?
I've been using Mi Box since launch. It runs stable, but there are some minor issues with few apps.
Unable to play 4K with Netflix. I guess it could be related to HDCP.
NBC News app is unable to play most of the videos.
Very stable for me, the only issue I've had in the last ~6 weeks was all sound was lost in SPMC (Kodi), couldn't figure out why but we restarted the box and all was fine.
I'm been finding I need to reboot once a week for both of my Mi Box's. Other than that they are rock solid. Only using them on 1080p plex and 720p Vue broadcasts. Haven't tried 4k yet.
I just got one 2 day ago also. I am using a harmony remote and sometimes it is a little laggy. I think it is more the remote than the box itself.
I don't ever feel the need to reboot. Sometimes the YouTube app will get stuck where it doesn't open to anything, but jumping into app settings and force stopping fixes that every time.
No reboots here. I have had mine for months.
it doesn't reboot on its own but i think i would say i reboot it about once a week myself. some apps get 'stuck' (keep giving errors and not opening). you can sometimes force stop them, sometimes you can clear cache, other times i resort to reboot.
Mine has only ever needed rebooting once. When it did the initial software update. Haven't rebooted since and works great.
After using for 2 weeks the only major issue I have "Remote Service has stopped" which causing me unable to use any input (remote / wireless keyboard / android TV remote app) and eventually reboot itself. It seems to be common issue among Android TV as Nexus Play and nvidia shield seems to have the same problem.

Most of the time, I use it on 1080p Plex. There's a minor bugs on Plex app as well but still avoidable.
Anyway, as a major Plex user, it's still way more superior than chromecast 2. My chormecast 2 can bear only around 8MBps 1080p plex video and requires transcoding most of the time. On the other hand, Mi box support Direct Play for most vids and I no longer have to reduce video quality to 8MBps.
I lived in Thailand and here, nVidia shield cost $300+ for the lowest spec, Nexus Player $100, chromecast 2 $50 and no Razer Forge. While Mi Box from AliExpress cost me ~$65 shipped. So, for me, buying Mi Box is no brainier.
The only concern I have is the software update.
Stable for me, just is a POS for Plex. Also not expecting many updates from some shitty chinese company with zero support. Hopefully nVidia has a new player at CES
Stable enough. Every so often you need to reboot it.
I have two. The units themselves are stable but the remotes are flaky AF. Constantly losing connection and have to be re-paired.
Yes
I just picked one up 2 days ago. No issues probably best bang for buck ATM imo.
