I just got updated HGTV and Food Network apps that now have the "Live TV" option to get the live feed, instead of on demand only. This brings it up to parity with the Roku app.
Note: They still don't integrate with Live Channels unfortunately. Note 2: If you're on PS Vue the foodnetwork.com/androidtv is still missing an option to login with psvue, so you need to go to foodnetwork.com/roku to reactivate the app.
Yeah, it's stupid that even with the update that more providers weren't added. I still have to do the wonky workaround...
It is strange HGTV even bothers with such a small list of supported providers.
Not sure if it's just because they pushed it... About every 5-10 minutes, it displays an error message about network issues... Occurs with non-live stuff too. And backing out and going back in and it works fine... Wonder if they are getting more traffic than they expected.
This is great that it's finally started to get live channels, it's a feature I use quite a bit. Helps cut the cord 😀
Thanks for the Roku work around! I just want Live Channel integration. Live Channels go there. Apps for On Demand Content.
