Trying to figure out if I can remotely wake my Android TV (Sony Bravia 2016) from my computer. I can't find much on any ATV apis that would allow this. Are there internal system calls that can be used for this effect? (For example, writing an ATV app that wakes and sleeps at a specified time?)
I'm not sure but I have read somewhere that the Sony TVs have an REST API. This way you could control it via HTTP calls.
I think the Bravia will respond to a wake-on-lan packet. Find out the IP of the TV, and see if sending that to it will power it up!
when you're in the same wifi, any google cast stream will wake up the tv.
The only way I know would be to use an Android emulator and install the Sony TV app to turn on/off and it's other features
