Casting from my desktop (to my Shield) seems to work reasonably well, but casting from my phone to the Shield results in a loading screen, or maybe a frame of video, but it never loads. Doesn't seem to be a sideload for the Now app. Anyone found anything that works? I feel like Now could be the thing I've been looking for to satisfy my wife's live TV itch, but I need it to work vai cast or an app...
I have the exact same issue (cast from browser to shield, fine, phone to shield, no-go)
Are you rooted? I am, and I'm wondering if that may be part of it? It casts fine to my chromecast
Casting from my phone (Nexus 6) to the Shield works every time, but the audio is always ridiculously out of sync. Sync is fine on the phone itself.
If there isn't an Android TV app announcement before my trial is up in January, I'm definitely canceling. $35 is a great price for the number of channels, but between the casting issues and the ridiculous number of commercials on VOD content it falls short of my minimum expectations for a streaming service at any price.
I can cast from my phone to Nexus Player just fine. They actually fixed some of the casting problems recently.
