Is Time Warner/Spectrum available through Android TV?

by nickb64

I know Time Warner/Spectrum have Android apps for watching TV and using their On Demand TV on phones and tablets but I can't tell if these are available for/compatible with Android TV. We use an old Roku 2 on one of our TVs because some channels are not available on the little digital adapter boxes they used to offer before the merger with Spectrum but it has been acting up lately and I was thinking we might replace it with something like the Mi Box, but if their TWC TV app is not available we may have to end up going with a newer Roku.

Verify the app works and gives you the channels you expect running from an Android phone/tablet. Likely you would need to sideload it as it is not Leanbach launcher compatible. You may do better using a Amazon FireTV stick if this is your main goal.

I tried it about a year ago on my old nexus player. You can sideload the the mobile app but you'd need a mouse/air mouse to use it, as only some functions work with the remote. You're better off sticking with the Roku as it's the only streaming device that fully supports the twc app at the moment.

I sideloaded it a few months ago onto my Shield. It works using the controller right stick as a mouse to get menus and select stuff but when you click on anything to play it gives you an error and won't play anything.
