2nd reaction: What happened to the strict rules against skinning?
I'll buy it the minute I can get my hands on one.
Nobody can prove that Amazon pays for exclusivity on Fire TV apps, but if Android TV had higher market share the content providers would have a harder time deciding to take a few bucks from Amazon over reaching a larger audience on Android TV.
I'm happy to support NVIDIA, Xiaomi and now Sling TV (Echostar) with my money, and I'll support Android TV by using all of my devices (including this fugly thing from Sling TV) by using them all to watch content.
I'll buy one just to have it but I'm way more interested in nvidia shields
I wonder if this means live channels will work and the device is on 7.0 .
I notice it specifies two different devices - an AirTV Player and an AirTV Adapter. I wonder if the latter is what was specified in the original announcements, where it acts as a server to integrate OTA into the Sling app on your other devices.
So here's the question, does this support google cast?
Why the fuck are they not using live channels integration?
