I downloaded psp, snes, ds, n64 emulators but how/where do I get games on the device?
Manually download them?
And how would I add them to the list of available games?
Any help would be appreciated thanks!

You gotta search for roms on the internet. Installation will vary depending on the specific apps you installed but they usually have a directory you copy the games to.
What emulators and controller are you using?
Can an old xbox360 controller be connected to the MiBox? If not what kind of control can I get for cheap?
Here is an upvote bud, since there is no reason this question should be downvoted. This sub is full of google-result regurgitators that think any question that seems obvious to them is not worth asking.
Glad you got at least a few people to give you useful guides.
I would suggest what I have done. Buy a usb stick and load it up with whatever roms you want. Then, plug that in the back of the Mi Box.
Its better because the mi box is already limited on space and it lets you plug that stick into any device you want to play your games on.
I have a usb stick with a full size usb and a usb-c so I can take my game library from my TV, to my laptop, and to my phone quickly and easily.
You're literally starting at the begining, and that's more help than a simply post reply on Reddit can give you.
Go here and read this:

You'll need to settle on an emulator (I use John Emulators on all of my devices) and then follow the Lifehacker post on setting up controllers and ROMs.
EDIT: the RetroArch setup bits can be ignored, but that's a good tutorial that isn't a link to a site that distributes ROMs.
Install emulator. Set up controls and audio/video. Get ROM. Play game. That post covers all of that.
