You are all lying! All of you!

Everyone one of you that says TeamViewer can remote control AndroidTV is lying through your teeth! There, prove me wrong. Show me a working version that can do remote control.

Please PLEASE PLEASE! Hope the title got your attention. I tried asking nicely repeatedly. What version of TeamViewer QS allows to remote control an AndroidTV Box?

I am making a Christmas gift for my parents, but if I cannot remotely fix it for them, my life would be a nightmare. Please!

I tried 10.0.2921 (no remote, only request for screenshot).
I tried 10.0.3027 (no option at all).
I tried 10.0.3224 (says 'supports screen sharing only').
I tried all versions of 11.x.x (all say 'support screen sharing only').
In the end I got my account flagged as "commercial use", for repeatedly connecting with different versions.

Do I need an older version of Client desktop software too?

Please anyone out there, that can successfully remote control AndroidTV, what QS and Client versions do you have?

Thank you!

I know you want this to be a success, but why are you "forcing" this onto your parents if they won't be able to use it without your support? What's more likely to happen is they will never use it.

Kodi is not a solution for non-tech savvy users.

Are there not alternative solutions that will meet their needs? Like an antenna and/or a Roku + XTV (I just found out about this today).

You sound like a child to be honest.

I have no knowledge of the subject, but I'm curious how often you expect to need to remotely fix your parent's Android tv device?

If they can't learn how to use it themselves then they should continue paying for cable and netflix like normal people do...

I mean it sounds like you should get your parents an appletv tbh

As far as I know you need the TeamViewer Host, not QS. And for remote control to work you need an add-on for your specific phone and they only have the add-on for some devices, not all...

The release notes from the latest version (12.something) mention adding support (through add-on) for Asus devices so it may work for the Nexus Player but I don't have one to test it, there is no add-on for my Shield TV and I doubt there is one for the MiBox...
