I got a Mi Box a few weeks ago. It seems to work as it should. The one glaring issue is that when casting Netflix from an iPhone or Android phone, the Mi Box launches Netflix and then demands for the user to pick a profile... using the remote.... which negates the whole point of casting.
Is this normal? If not, is there any known fix?
Same with a Sony Android TV. Pulls up profile, then times out.
I've tried reinstalling and clearing cache.
I don't know if its normal necessarily, but I have the same issue as well.
Are you guys casting to an Android TV like a Nexus Player?
I got this as well but only in the past week casting to my Nvidia shield
The issue is the different profiles being used. If both devices are already signed into the same profile no conflict occurs. It likely has to do with parental controls.
It's normal sort of, but your content should play once you select something. On my Shield pressing the cast button in Netflix just opens the app and brings me to the profile selection screen but once I choose a show or a movie, it plays.
I gave up. Returned the mi box. Now I use the Chromecast for everything but Amazon and a Roku stick for Amazon.
I'm having the same issue too. I was thinking about contacting Netflix and reporting the issue. I'd encourage others to do the same.
