Anyone find specs or info on the AirTV by Dish?

by youareme7

I have been scouring the internet looking for a bit more info on the AirTV because I'd be interested in seeing if it's got better hardware inside than the Mi Box which I find lacking. Or at least have a dedicated ethernet port or USB 3. Their website is really basic and doesn't even say when one would ship if it was ordered. I just pre-ordered a new shield for my main room but I wouldn't mind replacing the Mi Box in the bedroom with this if it was better.

Hey guys. I'm an AirTV owner. Below are some of the essential specs (which for some reason AirTV doesn't want to list).

CPU: quad core A53 @ 1.2Ghz RAM: 1GB Onboard Storage: 8GB (with about 5GB left after OS)

Not sure about the ethernet port speed. Not sure if the USB is 2.0 or 3.0

I got this info from running AIDA64 on my box. There is also a Slatedroid community available for this box if interested:

I discuss my experience so far in dealing with Kodi, PC game streaming and overall use of the OS on the site.

I'd like to know too. There were those specs listed on geek bench that suggest it's slower than the nexus player and much slower than the MI box. But those aren't confirmed.

It is always a bad sign when specs are not revealed. This is android not Apple consumers here.

More info -

There's some fuckery going on with the Live Channels app, as in, the app doesn't show up when there are compatible apps installed. I look into that more over the weekend.

Netflix listing are included in the Sling app. There's a Netflix row in the My TV tab.

The Guide, Sling and Heart buttons on the remote take you into the the Sling app.

What are the capabilities of the voice controls through the remote? Does it perform basic on/off and volume functions or just search for programs? With the close affiliation with Google, I wonder if Google Assistant will ever be available through the remote?
