Maybe people only care about the streaming features of android tv devices?

For what it's worth, I bought the device and it plays 4K h.265 and h.264 at 30fps from USB devices without dropping any frames in standalone video players that have hardware acceleration. (MX Player is mostly what I used after I got some Bluetooth audio desync with VLC)

The menus are also smooth in all apps I've tried, even at 4K 60fps. My only only complaint about the device is that youtube drops some frames every 30 seconds or so at 1080p 60fps, even if the UI performance is very good even at 4K 60fps. 4K 30fps videos seems to play fine in youtube without dropping any frames.
