Anyone else have an issue with HBO Now crashing on the Shield? It is my happens after I watch something, turn off the shield, come back later to watch more, and boom...Crashes. I restart the Shield and it works fine. I can watch things over and over, but it seems that when the shield is off/idle, something stops working. Any fixes? I've already deleted data, cache, reinstalled...
Have never experienced that. Can you write to their support?
Hbo now is the biggest piece of shit on the shield for me.
If it didn't crash at least one during a show I fucking assume the world is ending.
HBO Go seems to be even worse IMO, but at least it supports 5.1
If I pause I show for too long, I have to restart the shield. No other app has these issues, yet HBO charges $15/month.
Also, it doesn't show recently watched or favorite shows, so after restarting I have to go through all their menus to find what I was watching.
I would be happy to pay that if they delivered a working app.
I've noticed the same thing with HBO Now. It wouldn't be so bad if it could resume to the correct spot in what I was watching, but it doesn't. It usually starts at the beginning or -5 or 10 minutes where I actually was, leaving me to scan to my spot. Happens 2-3 times with watching anything. Every other streaming app on my shield seems to work fine.
Haven't had it in a long time. No 5.1 and pretty shitty app overall.
Once we get official Amazon support, I would suggest subscribing to HBO through them. Their app at least supports 5.1 audio.
