Mi Box ethernet USB adapter issue

by Bodycount9

Anyone have a brand of USB adapter that does not have problems or rarely has problems?

I bought belkin's for my two Mi Box's. 10/100 USB 2.0. They work great but every couple days I have to reboot the Mi Box because it goes back to WiFi. This happens on both box's.

On 5.2 Ghz WiFi, I sometimes get freezing or skipped frames. Yes I have full bars. Connection over 500 Mbps.

On ethernet I never have issues with freezing or dropped frames. It just works which is how I like it.

I figure there has to be a brand out there that is more compatible with this unit so it doesn't time out.

I've had no problems with this one from Amazon: Plugable USB 2.0 to 10/100 Fast Ethernet LAN Wired Network Adapter for Macbook, Chromebook, Windows 10, 8.1 and Earlier, Surface Pro, Wii, Wii U, Linu https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00484IEJS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_WNPNa6POX637P

Worked right away, and never disconnects. My only issue with the Mi Box so far is that every few days Google Play movies won't work until I reboot. Not a big deal though.

Good luck!

I have the ugreen usb2.0 hub with network port. Works well but I noticed one major flaw and hope someone can test it out with their setup. While connected to the USB hub network port, I can't cast Spotify and other apps from my huawei mate 9 to the mibox, with the exception of YouTube app

Does it go back to WiFi even after you toggle wifi off in settings?
