On the new Shield software with Google Assistant, does anyone know if the remote has some kind of speaker built in as well? Curious that since its "always listening," how do you get feedback from your OK Google command if the TV is off? Or do we have to wait for the spot for this?
You could use a receiver between the shield and the TV so the receiver handles the sound if the TV is off. I do that now with audio books and kodi at night. But if that's not in your configuration the spot will be the next best option once its released. I'm going to be getting at least one of them.
Nvidia stated that you need the TV for responses.
