Installing Amazon Video on my Sony Android TV and poor video quality

Hi guys

Did a search of the subreddit but could not find anything that could answer my question.

I've just subscribed to Amazon Prime and installed the apps via the following guide - https://forum.xda-developers.com/shield-tv/development/amazon-prime-video-demand-android-tv-t3278778

Problem is, my video are not displaying at 1080p and using the launcher is laggy. Did I do something wrong or is this experience normal?

I have had issues with quality, lagging, glitching, only in the Amazon video app on my Sony TV. Hulu, Netflix all work fine. I think their app is shitty.

What model? Mine was also preinstalled on a 2016 700D, and it works great over 802.11N in UHD after taking a moment in low quality to buffer when starting a video.
