I just got my Shield and was excited to get it all going. I'm at a loss tho because the Live Channels app doesn't appear on the home screen, nor can I start it my going to it from the Play store.
Additionally, my information for Play Music isn't showing up. I'm not a subscriber, but I thought that my library in the cloud would pull up. Am I missing something?
Your Play Music library should definitely be there. I don't subscribe, but use it often to listen to my cloud library.
In order to do DVR, you might need one of the supported usb tuners. And for cloud music streaming, you first need to set that up on your PC.
From what I think I gathered from the SiliconDust forum, HDHomerun needs to enable support for it in their app. I doubt they would since they're making their own DVR solution.
For Music, I had to hit sync multiple times and it took... What's disappointing is I can't select a playlist it automatically creates for me.
My music didn't show up at first either. Go into settings and then sync your Google apps. Mine showed up after that.
You need to install a source for it. Do you have a OTA tuner? Try installing Pluto TV. After that, I think it will let you install Live Channels
