Pre-ordered Shield 2 Remote, got shield 1 remote?

Shield 1 or 2 remote?

So I just got my preorder for the shield 2 remote in the mail, but the box makes me think this is a shield 1 remote. The box says "Headphone Jack for Private Listening" on the back. Is this actually a shield 1 remote or a shield 2 remote?

As I'm going to be returning it (because I just bought the $200 bundle from Best Buy), I don't want to open the box.

So they either shipped me a shield 1 remote, or they're reusing the box from the shield 1 remote (which I highly doubt because of the lack of a headphone jack).

I would return that remote. The IR blaster and the year long battery life makes the remote vastly superior. Unless you like charging the remote every other day and have the voice not pickup your commands.

Unless you desperately need the IR blaster keep the gen 1 remote. Far superior to the new one.

The new plastic remote still costs 50$ when buying it separately? I expected it to be cheaper due to the new materials and build.

Where did you order the gen 2 remote from? I haven't been able to find it on sale anywhere.

The pro model of the gen 2 is sticking with the gen 1 style remote with charging and headphone jack
