Mi Box Anynet+ HDMI-CEC -- Not turning TV on

I have a 2015 4k Samsung TV, and I cannot get the HDMI CEC feature to work for me for anything.

I have CEC enabled in the Samsung menu, and it finds my Mi Box just fine, and then from there I can control the Mi Box with my Samsung remote and all, but that's not what I want. From there, I want to be able to turn on my TV with the Mi Box remote. I'm not worried about turning it off with the remote (I've heard that feature doesn't work at the moment), but I can't even get it to turn on at all. Every time I do start up the TV with my Samsung remote (my only current option), CEC doesn't work until I go to the menu, search for the device, and manually connect it. I can then once again control the Mi Box with my Samsung remote, but still cannot turn the TV on when it's off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am completely confused with why this simple feature just doesn't want to work for me.

Same here, used to work perfectly but ever since the small update a week or two ago it has stopped

Came here to say mine has stopped too. Used to turn the tv on nearly instantly but now it doesn't.

After the update the power button seemed to stop turning the TV on. However, hitting the home button 5-6 times rapidly will still turn my TV on (the same is true for Nexus Players). I just wish CEC Power Off worked.

I just got mine yesterday, and all it does is turn on the TV. It actually doesn't turn on with the power button for me, I have to use the directional buttons.

Pressing twice the home button works ... at the moment is the only solution.

Why is it that I have to go through the Samsung menus every time in order to connect the Mi Box through CEC? Is there a way to make it so that it automatically connects to the box? It's nearly useless if it's not connected until I do a long process every time I turn the TV back on...

I have a Samsung 4k TV and what got it to turn on successfully for me was to hold the home button for 1-2 secs then release.
