I'm having the same exact issue. It's rather frustrating.
Same issue here. Nvidia Shield. Funny thing is their support says if no video it is a bandwidth issue. However my Shield is hardwired to the network on a gigabit connection but I can stream it on my phone and Cast it to my Shield over WiFi with no issues. Thinking ithat is a bug with their Android TV app.
