I'm unable to stream anything on HBO Now with my Mi Box. I keep getting an error saying "Failed to open session: Session not opened." I can stream via the web or my phone just fine, but the Mi Box won't even cast from those platforms.
I cleared data/cache, uninstalled/reinstalled, signed out/signed in, but noting seems to work.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Even screen casting from my phone to my Mi Box using HBO Go and Showtime Anytime broke with the update that came about 10 days ago.
Since I'm a Comcast customer, optimized screen casting is my only option for high quality HBO and Showtime on the Mi Box on TVs without a cable box.
What are the odds they will fix this or will ever even become aware of the issue before they finalize their Nougat update. Starting to feel like the Shield may have been worth forking over 199 for.
A factory reset fixed this issue for me.
Not an ideal solution, but should anyone else have the issue and find this thread (as I did) that worked for me.
Yes, this. If it does play, it will buffer and start back with the audio sync off by seconds.
I just returned all my Miboxes for shields. Too many bugs.
I did a factory reset and I still can't get HBO Now to play anything.
Mi Box isn't a supported HBO Now device.
Yup, me too. Many problems with HBO Go and Now.
