Patch has been out for a couple weeks now but yeah they are updating it.

On twitter they said 7.0 will be out early first quarter 2017.

Still no fix for the Netflix issues that seem to plague a lot of Mi TV's though. Mine included.

Has anyone had success with external storage as internal storage? I plugged in a drive, got the prompt, said, "Yes, reformat this to be used as internal storage." Then I let the Mi Box chew on it for a while. And after all that, I still see the same amount of internal storage. ES File Explorer sees the USB drive as an additional device, but if I try to look in it, I get an error.

I think the Sling TV stuck on splash screen after the Mi Box wakes up from sleep is fixed. Don't quote me though, I haven't used the app enough yet to be sure.

HDMI-CEC has broken completely for all of my Vizio sets (works perfectly on my 2017 Sheild).

HBO Now fails to load content 100% of the time (also works perfectly on 2017 Shield).

Netflix playback is flaky at best - works infrequently, but does work on occasion.

Finally, I sincerely hope the 7.0 build includes Amazon Instant Video out of the box. It is a great addition on the Shield and not having to sideload some super sketchy .apk is a plus.

SD card as internal storage is awesome, need to figure out if I want to preserve root or update...
