Issues with Xbox Contoller

by Pantherrugger89

Have my Gen2 Shield set up in the same room as PC. When I game on PC lets say Skyrim I can use my Xbox one controller (with the wireless adapter plugged into my PC) no problem. However, when I start Gamestream for what ever reason my Xbox1 controller is no longer useable. Am I missing something in set up? I hate the Shield controller just can't get used to it so this would be a deal breaker if I cant use this controller.

Gamestream sets up whatever controller you have on the Shield as controller 1. If you have one of the newer XB1 controllers that does Bluetooth, you could try pairing it with the Shield.

I've been using the 1st generation Shield for more than one year and I always had to switch to the Shield controller when playing through GameStream since the wireless Xbox controller apparently does not work this way.

Fortunately the Shield controller did not bother me, but if someone has a solution I'd be also interested to know. The way it is now, the Shield "blocks" the input of any controller not connected to the Shield directly.

Another strange thing I noticed is that if you connect the Shield controller to the PC usb ports to recharge it, the wireless Xbox controller will again stop working even if there is no GameStream session running. Maybe these things are somehow related.
