Hey guys, just wanted to post this to see if you guys were seeing the same results.
My tv (Sony) just pushed the android tv 6.0 update and it is so buggy and slow. I often have to restart the TV just to get rid of the command lag and watching Netflix is incredibly skippy.
Others seeing this too?

Which model? I have the 65X850D and only got the update notice in the home screen, not the update itself. From what I've read, most people are still waiting for it and those that have it suffer the same issues as you. Maybe that's the reason they've halted deployment?
What model and location?
I'm still waiting on sony to release the update for the x8500c in australia and I already well expect it to be slow and laggy as it is on 5.1 they are using a shitty SOC( if I remember correctly a dual core cpu with 1.5GB ram and a tricore gpu) with my model and I don't bother using it, I imported a shieldTV instead and its literally night and day difference.
the thing I really wanted to use was plex and it couldn't even do that properly
xbr-55x850c owner chiming in. After the update UI navigation is potato. The easiest way I can think to describe it is when changing the volume on the TV via the remote, there's generally a noticeable 2-3 second lag before I see the actual volume slider on the display move. If I could undo the update I would. They've turned what was a slightly laggy android TV OS into a full on studdery mess.
I think you mean "Sony's support for Android 6 is terrible".
