(Q) Are there any legit live TV services with Live Channels integration?

by nicksteron

I live in a horrible area for OTA streaming and currently have DirecTV Now.

Are there any live streaming services that have native Android TV Live Channel guide integration?

... and to be specific, I'm talking about a lineup comparable to cable packages. I'm already aware of Pluto TV, Haystack News, and the like.

Outside of HDHR Prime + a cable card, nope.

HDHomerun is the best solution currently. DVR integration with Plex is lovely.

Just curious, what do you mean by "OTA Streaming"?

IME, "stream" refers to consuming digital media over a network/data connection, e.g. from YouTube, Netflix, even Plex, etc.

Also IME, "OTA" means "over the air" and traditionally referrs to television signals broadcast over the airwaves in Radio frequency bands, and acquired via a traditional antenna (aluminum areal on the roof, rabbit ears on top of the TV, or some variant of these). This would give you live TV to a tuner. This would not provide the ability to "stream" anything.

So given that, what do you mean by "OTA streaming"?

Technically, a wifi internet connection is "OTA" as any wireless method of data transmission is, but I think my above definitions are clear enough to avoid this confusion for most reasonably tech-savvy redditors.

I would look into PlayStation Vue.
