Dolphin Now Includes Controller Mapping in Latest Build

by getcashmoney

Just wanted to let people know that I installed the latest Dolphin emulator build last night and I was surprised to notice it had controller bindings built in. For those unaware, you used to have to install an old version, configure your controller, then update and hope you did it right.

Yes it has been implemented for about 2 months. I posted a while back.

Works well for me to a point. I have not been able to get games running without audio issues. FPS is also not much better than 50 fps in Double Dash.

Do they have option for a analog L/R button? Last time I tried dolphin they only got a button L/R. Since some game need it to be analog (like Mario Sunshine), I stop using it.

Anyone upload their controller config file for the Shield controller? That way I could just copy it over without having to configure it myself.

You can also use vulkan now that Nvidia has fixed it .

Does anybody have a config for best performance?

Is this app in the play store? If not, got a link for it? Does it show up in leanback?

Try force stopping the app and re open. The interface changes.

This isn't working as expected for me.

All the mapping, etc. works fine with my Shield Controller. I turn on Super Mario Bros Wii and start, etc. work fine to get the game started and selected.

Then none of my directional buttons do as I mapped them. Left seems to go right, and vice-versa. I'd hazard a guess that this may be to do with the games expectation that the Wii controller is to be turned sideways and (due to the orientation shift) the up and down axis becomes the left and right.

But I'm not sure if this is what I'm seeing. It doesn't seem as simple a mixup as left and right switching to up and down. Secondly, this would be a major hurdle that Dolphin would need to (does?) overcome as a controller mapping would become useless on any game that expects the Wii controller to be held sideways, or vice-versa.

Has anyone had any luck with gamestream of dolphin from a desktop? Or are devices like the shield tv powerful enough to emulate games locally?
