Just tested on my Shield TV 2017 and my PS3 DualShock controller is working perfectly.

Natively? Because that would be huge. It has always worked with Sixaxis
How did you pair it?
This is great news. I wonder if this is a Nougat feature or a Shield thing.
Xbox One S controllers also working. (2015 shield TV 5.0 update).
Damn that's nice!
I was gonna try root and Six Axis. I never would have thought they had native support.
Anyone try a DS4 yet?
I wonder if this work with the Mi box now
That's something they should have mentioned in the release notes.
Is there a way to turn the controller off again? It's lying here since an hour without using it and doesn't turn off.
Great! Now I have three Shield controllers (2 old, 1 of the new), a few PS3 controllers that I can resurrect, an 8bitdo SNES controller, Wii controller (just in case the Wii emulation improves!), and my N64 controller. I'm set!
Anybody tried this on Shield 2015?
Does the rumble work on those controller?
Any luck with chinese knock-off DS3 controllers? I had no luck with my Gasia-branded one nor did this one
I just noticed that it was working. I plugged it in and was going to play with it plugged in, but then I thought, "Hey, just for the heck of it, I'm going to unplug it and see what happens." Aaaand... it worked!
I had 4 PS3 controllers that I bought on sale (K-Mart had them on for $17 each a couple of years ago), and used them for a bit with a rooted cheap Android stick I had, but now I have the Shield and two Shield controllers. Couldn't use the PS3 controllers wirelessly with my Shield unless I rooted it. :(
But now all is well and I have SIX controllers to choose from! Woohoo!!!
Has anyone tested this on Mi Box? I think I tried it before but can't remember.
EDIT: Just tried it, it doesn't work :( I guess it is Shield TV only. Either that or Nougat, which we probably won't be getting anymore..
