My Mi Box is no longer 'waking up' from pressing buttons on the remote control and I am having to unplug and plug it back in to get it to come back on.
Very frustrating.
Any thoughts?
This last update seems to have done more bad than good IMO. HDMI-CEC broke, waking from sleep broke, and Netflix/HBO Now no longer work. FIX YOUR SOFTWARE, XIAOMI!!!
I have similar issues, but I have a method to wake it up without unplugging. If MiBox doesn't wake up by remote I turn on TV first, then it just wakes up and works fine. If MiBox wakes up I press home button and it turns on my tv. Turning tv off always puts MiBox to sleep so no issues here (although I would prefer to be able to put tv to sleep by pressing power button on MiBox remote).
Oh man, that sounds similar to the troubles that plague the Razer Forge... Sorry to hear and hope they fix it. I was looking to move to a Mi Box.
Same issue. It will work just turn it on and off.
Same issue with me as well. I am able to wake it up with my bluetooth Xiaomi gamepad though.
After the latest update I did have the same HBO issues as everyone else, but a factory reset solved it for me.
You may want to consider doing the same to see if any of your issues get cleared up since Android updates can cause issues at times on any device.
Same here. I had to reset it like 3 times before it would work right.
Did you ever get this sorted out? I'm glad I'm not the only one having cec issues. My tv no longer wakes the Android tv and no longer puts it to sleep. Very frustrating and I agree this latest update did more harm than good. Give us 7.0 already
Try unpairing and pairing back the remote ... Might help
