I feel bad for you guys...using a Logitech Remote. I have a fully customizable URC MX990. A MX1200 before that, and a MX980 prior.

Congrats on your $550 remote.
You seem dumb
Thanks for sharing.
I didn't realize the MX 990 supported bluetooth and IP control?
In 2008 the URC was a big upgrade to the Harmony. Devices had little consistency with IR command sets and were sensitive to delays and repeats. URC offered RF control while the Harmony remotes required line of site with IR only.
Time have changed. Devices have more consistent IR command sets and are less sensitive to timing. The Harmony IR database is more complete and, like URC, they use RF control to a base station with IR blasters. Unlike URC, they also offer Bluetooth control and have a nice mobile app so you can use your phone as a remote.
Your MX990 doesn't do anything more than a MX880 from 2008. You can't even control via Bluetooth. It may be time to upgrade to a Harmony.
500 dollar remote? LOL. I'm happy with my $60 harmony hub with IR and Bluetooth support and with Alexa support.
Is there a way to add fast forward, rewind and stop to a harmony remote using my mi box?
Look at Mr Cool Remote over here.
This is a compelling story. I applaud your bravery in speaking out. Thank you. Are there any other things that are 'hot garbage' that are vaguely related to this subreddit? Do you also feel bad for users of those products? Have you historical reference for product numbers for other products that you have used?
