Just installed a new update, still with android version 6.0.1 and October security patch.
It only said it contains free access to Sling TV, though the update was over 500mb. Anyone knows of a change log?

I see the update as well... Interesting, Downloading now.
I downloaded the update and downloaded sling and have the orange access with epix preview.

Downloaded and installed the update, but there is no app called Sling.
Is it possible that I don't see the aoo because I'm in Germany?
Or have I to install the app manually?
Anyone have the change notes to this update? I find it crazy that a 500+ meg update is only there for Sling TV free for one day.
Downloading the update. It has a typo and questionable grammer in the description "Update contains ADD free access to sling TV after update system. Device will reboot to apply the update."
I don't suppose this update has any changes to allow the Amazon Prime Video APKs to work? That's all I'm really missing to make me happy with this box.
I'm in Europe too, no Sling for us. As I cam see from the screen shot provided we also lack many apps compared to the US. Cant' even install it from the playstore!
BTW, is anyone able to get Netflix recommendations on the home screen? Also can you use voice search with Netflix?
Sigh, Netflix still doesn't work with this new update.
Checked the settings in the Sling app, and it looks like it's created a Sling account with my "MiBoxID"@sling.com.
According to account settings, it's the "Orange Level" account.
I don't have the update can anyone tell me the build number for it. I am on build 6.0.1 MHC19J 699
there is any other changes ? the past update mentionned on drm fixes but they fixed many things
there is a way to download the update from the web to my desktop?
Did the update before this one (that came out a couple of weeks ago) break optimized screen casting from HBOGo and Showtime Anytime for anyone else?
Since my logins are from Comcast, screen casting from my phone where my phone acts as a remote telling the Mi Box to play video is the only way I can get high quality video from HBO, Showtime and other networks.
Sometimes a video will briefly start, but then the apps will throw an error. It's definitely not a wifi signal strength or network speed issue.
Thanks for the heads up.....still waiting for DTV NOW to get an androidtv app...I may keep sling since I do have the free preview since I bought the MI box.
Also i'm guessing this only works for US regions, i was using a VPN located in the states and SlingTV worked. Not sure if it works outside of the states
I just updated! didnt opt in for sling as i'm in malaysia. But i noticed one difference. When trying to play 10bit 1080p tv episodes on plex, the video would be a mostly a green jumbled mess. but since the update, i immediately tried the 10 bit videos in question and they are now perfect.
