Got my Dish Airtv box today. Could use some assistance.

Well... PSA this is my first Android TV.

The good..

  1. Voice search
  2. Sling works well
  3. Hulu, Plex, HBO Go check and check (Netflix of course)

The bad

  1. I didn't realize I'd get a handicap Google play store
  2. Blue tooth remote kind of sketchy on staying connected (especially if my phones remote app and BT is on), it wacks out.
  3. Picture has a Flickr every few seconds (could be a deal breaker)

Imediate issue is the wife says no to Android TV if I can't get Amazon Prime working. Also disappointing Google Drive app is missing as I store videos there.

I've downloaded ES Explorer on both my phone and the box. From here I'm lost.

Ideas? Tutorials just lead me to "this content has been removed by Amazon". Crap, I pay for it and I'm supposed to be able to watch it "anywhere".

Thanks

The Play Store is not handicapped but optimized. Android TV is a TV OS. Not full Android.

The only official Amazon Prime app on Android TV is on the Nvidia Shield.

2 - you have some type of interference. The distance between the two, the location of the box, something else in the room or nearby, the type of shelf or cabinet that it's in or something.

3 - you've tried a new cable and/or a different HDMI port on your TV?
