Interesting, you made me realize I have nothing sideloaded on my MiBox right now. It really started to become like work keeping up with every app out there. I do remember having the Amazon Fire TV NBCSports app sideloaded along with the Amazon Store app so it would authenticate. Chasing down apps that won't work on a particular device got old. I just keep Android TV, Fire TV and Roku as switch inputs.
Minecraft looks great on the big screen and can be multiplayered with people cross-platform on phones/tablets.
